Develop NC programs and setup sheets for the NC machines to cut extrusion tooling and/or gages based on design. - Design and documents extrusion tooling (dies, calibrators, downstream equipment) for producing profiles. Tooling must meet all specifications.
- Interface with Product Design and Tool Manufacturing personnel to ensure product performance. Ensure revisions, changes are thoroughly documented.
- Provide clear, concise and accurate requirements to Drafting, and Tool Manufacturing for effective and efficient profile production.
- Sustain world class TPM program by completing assigned tasks.
- Develop NC programs and setup sheets on CAD/CAM system from designs for milling or EDM equipment.
- Troubleshoot existing programs for corrective action.
- Troubleshoot mill or EDM for programming, machine or process correction.
- Specialized training in NC programming and CAD/CAM application preferred.
- 1-2 years design experience, programming experience and/or operator experience preferred.
- 1-2 years general machining exposure, significant mechanical aptitude or machine shop experience required.
- Organized, detail oriented, team player.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
