Manufacturing Supervisor - Extrusion
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor looking for an opportunity to join an organization that is focused on growth, opportunity and talent? Deceuninck Northam America is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for the Monroe, Ohio facility.
Our supervisors are empowered to provide guidance, support and mentorship to employees with the goal of achieving short and long-term business objectives to ensure growth and maximize performance.
Shifts: Days/Nights. 12 Hours, 2-2-3 shift pattern
What you will bring:
- Drives accountability for operational performance, quality performance, delivery performance, cost performance
- Provide direction, leadership and mentorship to employees in the management of their assigned areas to ensure that business objectives and satisfactory performance are met.
- Assesses competency and capabilities of direct reports, ensuring employee development.
- Identifies and participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Effectively participates in the process of employee selection, hiring and retention.
- Maintain the necessary communications and effective relationships with other company functions required to support the operation.
- Establish and/or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Lead by example
- Owns safety culture for team, Manages safety investigations and related corrective actions. Participates on Safety Committee with meaningful contributions.
What you will bring:
- Two to four years of frontline supervision experience. Manufacturing Supervisory experience preferred.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles. Green/Black Belt preferred.
- Experience working with computer systems to enter and track data.
- Proven ability to mentor and manage employees.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and successfully multi-task, excellent organizational skills, a high sense of urgency
Education:
- High School diploma or (GED) required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technical field preferred.
