We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our restaurant team as Maitre D/Host. As a Maitre D/Host, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest service.
Duties:
- Greet guests as they arrive and seat them at their designated tables
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Assist in coordinating reservations and managing waitlists (Open Table)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and waiting area
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and efficiency
- Monitor dining room activity to ensure timely seating and service (some light bussing of tables involved)
- Assist in setting up tables for reservations or special events
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide outstanding guest service with a friendly demeanor
- Familiarity with Open Table/Toast
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and waitlists effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
