Duties
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.
- Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and kindness, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
- Handle food safely by following proper sanitation, cleaning, and food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
- Support kitchen operations by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining a tidy environment.
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and checking expiration dates to ensure freshness and safety.
- Follow all sanitation protocols including proper dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and waste disposal to uphold health standards.
- Collaborate with culinary staff and nursing teams to deliver timely, quality meals that meet individual dietary requirements.
Skills
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
- Proven ability in food preparation, cooking, serving, and meal assembly.
- Excellent time management skills to coordinate meal service efficiently.
