Dietary Aide

Duties

• Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards.
• Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and kindness, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
• Handle food safely by following proper sanitation, cleaning, and food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
• Support kitchen operations by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining a tidy environment.
• Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and checking expiration dates to ensure freshness and safety.
• Follow all sanitation protocols including proper dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and waste disposal to uphold health standards.
• Collaborate with culinary staff and nursing teams to deliver timely, quality meals that meet individual dietary requirements.

Skills

• Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Proven ability in food preparation, cooking, serving, and meal assembly.
• Excellent time management skills to coordinate meal service efficiently.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Familiarity with dietary department operations and dietetics principles is a plus.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through regular cleaning and bussing duties while supporting kitchen operations seamlessly. Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
