Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant/Cashier to support daily administrative operations within our office, while also operating our pay window. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in office administration or clerical roles. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a professional team, ensuring smooth office functions and exceptional customer service. Bilingual skills are a plus, as the role involves interacting with diverse clients and team members.

Duties

  • Manage front desk responsibilities, including running the pay window, weighing inbound and outbound customers, and handling the phones with professionalism.
  • Perform money handling, data entry, filing, and other clerical work to maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize scrap software, time keeping system, and have a general knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Stay up to date on all state scrap regulations and compliance rules to ensure we are always free of violations.
  • Support bookkeeping tasks using ReMatter and eventually QuickBooks.
  • Provide customer support via phone, email, or in person, ensuring excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as document management/organization, and maintaining office inventory.
  • Perform regular office maintenance by keeping the inside space clean and organized at all times.
  • Support office management activities to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Experience

  • Prior office experience or clerical experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with office management systems and software such as Microsoft Office products, Google products, QuickBooks, and data management tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in customer service roles such as a receptionist or previous office management is a plus.

This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service in a dynamic office setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Work Location: In person
