We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused PRN Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care in a community pharmacy setting.
Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient questions
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, and proper dosing
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Communicate with prescribers regarding prescription clarifications or issues
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, policies, and safety standards
- Assist with inventory management and medication ordering when needed
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in TN in good standing
- PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a community pharmacy environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and insurance processing preferred
- Previous experience in a retail or independent pharmacy - preferred
- Immunization certification - preferred
- Experience with medication therapy management (MTM) - preferred
