We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time and as-needed (PRN) basis. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys working in a community pharmacy setting and values building relationships with patients and healthcare providers. The pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications while providing outstanding patient care and clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations.
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, drug interactions, and clinical concerns.
- Administer immunizations in accordance with state regulations and pharmacy protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation.
- Promote a positive, patient-centered pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in TN
- Graduate of an accredited School/College of Pharmacy.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulatons, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
- Current immunization certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred
- Previous retail or independent pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
