The Subject Matter Expert – Aseptic Process Solutions will serve as the technical and commercial leader for aseptic process technologies including Fill/finish in the United States. This role combines deep industry expertise with business development responsibilities, supporting sales growth, strategic customer engagement, and market expansion initiatives.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers, helping identify opportunities, develop solutions, and position Dec Group as a preferred partner for aseptic processing and filling applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including manufacturing, engineering, process development, and executive leadership teams.
- Develop and execute market penetration strategies for aseptic filling solutions across North America.
- Support sales teams in qualifying opportunities and defining customer requirements.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to increase market visibility and generate leads.
- Monitor and train the sales team related to market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Serve as the technical expert for aseptic filling technologies and associated processes.
- Advise customers on equipment selection, process design, regulatory considerations, and operational best practices.
- Support preparation and delivery of technical presentations, workshops, and customer demonstrations.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and product teams to develop tailored customer solutions.
- Provide technical guidance during proposal development.
- Contribute to product strategy and roadmap discussions based on customer and market feedback.
- Assist in developing marketing materials, technical publications, and thought leadership content.
- Support partnerships and strategic alliances within the aseptic processing ecosystem.
- Support interface and coordination between several divisions within the Dec Group
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in aseptic filling, sterile manufacturing, or pharmaceutical processing.
- Demonstrated experience with aseptic filling equipment, isolators, barrier technologies, and sterile manufacturing operations.
- Strong network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry in North America.
- Proven track record in business development, technical sales, or customer-facing leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% as required.
- Experience with injectable drug products, biologics, cell and gene therapies, or advanced therapeutics.
- Knowledge of FDA, EU GMP, Annex 1, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with capital equipment suppliers or integrated pharmaceutical technology providers.
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD) is a plus.
