What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Dec-USA/Extract Technology?
Dec USA is seeking an Assembly Technician in Mauston, Wisconsin! The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, maintaining, testing and troubleshooting pharmaceutical and nuclear equipment. Participation in the design, manufacturing, installation and operation of components and equipment systems. Assist in customer factory acceptance testing. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads blueprints and/or reviews sketches to determine task feasibility and work sequence.
- Assembles, checks, calibrates electrical and electronic components, control panels and other devices using mechanical/ electrical circuits and machinery.
- Check completed work as required to ensure completeness and compliance with established specifications. Performs and/or directs specified Isolator testing as required.
- Inspect product at regular intervals and complete all necessary paperwork and documentation regarding assembly and inspection records and procedures.
- Keep Coordinator and or Supervisor advised of any quality problems, concerns, delays, etc.
- Ensure compliance through support of safety policies and instruction of personnel in safety rules and regulations.
- Comply with OSHA Standards
- Suggest methods improvements or alternate methods and materials to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
- Held accountable for quality.
- Assignments are subject to process and final inspection.
- May be required to travel to perform SAT’s (Site Acceptance Testing) on equipment or for training.
- Work within the parameters of the company production schedule
- Promote a clean, safe work environment throughout the facility
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures requires a high degree of knowledge of fabricating practices and procedures.
- Demonstrates ability to read, interpret and apply blueprints, weld symbols and procedures.
- Works under minimal supervision. Knowledge of PLC systems and advantage, strong mechanical assembly, pneumatics, electrical instrumentation and HVAC experience is preferred.
