The Operations Manager oversees daily business operations, drives process efficiency, and supports organizational growth. A key responsibility of this role is developing, maintaining, and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day company operations to ensure efficiency and high performance.
- Develop and implement operational policies, workflows, and standards.
SOP Development & Management
- Create, update, and maintain clear, comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational functions.
- Work with department leaders to document processes and ensure SOPs reflect current best practices.
- Train employees on newly created or updated SOPs to ensure proper adoption and compliance.
- Conduct periodic reviews of SOPs to ensure ongoing relevance and regulatory compliance.
Process Optimization
- Analyze operational processes to identify inefficiencies or gaps.
- Recommend and implement improvements to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Monitor KPIs to measure the impact of operational changes.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and support team members to achieve operational targets.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set operational goals, project plans, and long-term strategies.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance and improvement initiatives.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure efficient use of company resources and cost control measures.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, Finance, Sales, Logistics, and other teams to ensure cohesive operations.
- Support cross-functional projects and resolve operational challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience creating and managing SOPs.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with process documentation tools and project management software.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with digital SOP platforms or workflow automation tools.
- Industry-specific experience (customizable to your field).
