Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a broad range of support on a variety of projects under the umbrella of services provided to the Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) patient community. Flexibility, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential in this position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working in the non-profit sector and hoping to gain experience in program management. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support all operational aspects of debra’s direct to patient service offerings
- Interact directly with those with EB and the general public via phone and email to educate and aid in improving the quality of life for those with EB and their family members
- Work with internal team and external stakeholders to expand current services and turn new program goals into reality
- Share your strategic ideas to enhance the impact of our services
- Utilize cloud-based software databases to enter and analyze utilization rates of services; maintain community member and program participant records; and account for incoming/outgoing wound care supply activity
- Coordinate all aspects of debra’s Youth Mentorship Program, including pairing mentors-mentees, manage meet-up schedules, planning and implementing check-ins with participants, and ensuring safety and code of conduct guidelines are met
- Take responsibility for the Wound Care Distribution Program by:
- Preparing and shipping packages of free medical supplies to community members while maintaining accurate wound care supply inventory counts
- Sort, organize, count and track donated wound care bandages and other supplies in our Wound Care Distribution Center
- Responding to requests for care supplies from community members and assist in setting up incoming donations of supplies from the general public and corporations
- Assist in the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events, including the debra Care Conference, regional meetings and virtual EBConnect.org activities
A small percentage of time will be dedicated to performing other duties as assigned, such as day-to-day office management, ordering office supplies, maintaining printed materials, and providing project-based support for fundraising activities and events (travel may be required)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent data management skills
- BA/BS degree
- Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM or other data management systems a plus
- Creative thinker with problem-solving ability, who is interested in out-of-the-box programming ideas and partnerships
- Willingness to be flexible in accordance with the realities of working at a small nonprofit.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (with occasional heavy lifting). Position requires creating and organizing care packages.
This is a full-time position with some remote work opportunity. Two-to-three days per week in-office required.
