Experienced NJ Real Estate Paralegal -- Part-Time

Established solo law practice seeking an experienced New Jersey real estate paralegal to assist with residential real estate transactions. This is a hands-on position for someone who already understands the NJ transaction process and can confidently manage the day-to-day details of a file with limited supervision.

What You'll Do

• Manage residential real estate files from contract through closing
• Review contracts, title commitments, surveys, municipal searches, and related documents
• Coordinate with clients, realtors, lenders, title companies, municipal offices, and opposing counsel
• Prepare and organize closing documents and closing statements
• Track deadlines, contingencies, title issues, and outstanding documentation
• Communicate with clients and other transaction participants regarding file status and outstanding items
• Identify potential problems and bring them to the attorney's attention promptly
• Maintain organized electronic files and assist with general real estate practice matters

What We're Looking For

• 2 years of New Jersey residential real estate experience preferred
• Strong understanding of the NJ residential purchase-and-sale process
• Ability to independently manage multiple files and deadlines
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients, realtors, lenders, title companies, and other attorneys
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, email, and legal practice-management software
• Someone who is proactive, dependable, and capable of working independently
