Company Description
DeBee, Clark & Weber, PLLC is seeking a full-time accountant with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related area of study to join our tax department and assist with the continued growth of the department.
The primary responsibilities of the job include working with our team to assist our clients in developing strategic tax plans for their personal and business needs, general bookkeeping, and accounting for small business and nonprofit clients; preparation of various tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and nonprofits; and representing clients with audits by the Internal Revenue Service and Oklahoma Tax Commission. Responsibilities
- Oversees accounting and tax client intake.
- Works with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed, including gathering and organizing tax documentation, client information requests, and document preparation for clients.
- Maintains various ledgers, journals, registers, and other financial records, on a periodic basis for multiple clients.
- Assist with preparation of monthly management reports and financial statements for various clients.
- Assist with preparation of various individual, business and non-profit tax returns and related forms.
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the firm.
Skills
- 0-3 years work experience as an Accountant is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work on multiple projects effectively and efficiently at the same time.
- Sound verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with internal and external contacts.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Ability to think innovatively and to incorporate technology solutions to streamline processes.
- A self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information associated with the position.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
