Debbie’s Staffing is now recruiting a 1st Shift Quality Inspector for our client located in Attleboro, MA!
Job Type: Full-time Temp-Hire
Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
SUMMARY:
Perform inspection of customer supplied product as specified by customer requirements, military specifications and Brainin procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform visual inspection of plated and un-plated material using unaided eye and/or microscopic examination.
Perform thickness testing using various instruments such as x-ray machines, micrometers, calipers, etc.
Perform adhesion testing as specified by the customer or Brainin procedures.
Provide accurate and complete charts and records on visual, thickness, and adhesion testing.
Documentation - complete Brainin job traveler and other documentation.
Assure general cleanliness and maintenance of inspection equipment and work areas. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands/arms; lift and/or lower; push and/or pull; and use hands to finger, handle, feel and/or finely manipulate objects. The employee is occasionally required to cut/trim, carry, crouch/squat, sit, kneel, lift overhead, twist/turn, bend, work in an awkward position, and talk. The employee must frequently lift/move and/or push/pull up to 10 to 25 lbs/kg and occasionally lift/move and/or push/pull up to 25 to 35 lbs/kg. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Use of vision correction is acceptable, if necessary; however, any vision correction apparatus must meet all safety guidelines for the area of activity.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of related work experience and/or a high school diploma.

- Able to interpret blueprints/drawings
- Use handheld equipment (micrometer, caliper, indicator)
- Experience in using vision systems (Microvu comparator)
