Job Summary:
Deano's Collision & Automotive Specialists, located in Elk River, Minnesota, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Manager to lead our parts department. This position plays an important role in managing the sourcing, receiving, inventory, and distribution of parts to support our collision repair operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a body shop or automotive parts environment and a solid understanding of collision parts and repair workflows.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (includes one-hour lunch break)
Pay Range:
$26 – $29 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee ordering and receiving of OEM, aftermarket, and used collision parts based on approved repair estimates.
- Verify parts accuracy, condition, and compatibility for each repair order.
- Collaborate with estimators and technicians to ensure timely delivery of correct parts.
- Organize and manage staging of parts for each job to streamline the repair process.
- Maintain accurate records of parts ordered, received, returned, or on backorder.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor and follow up on any delayed or missing parts to avoid production delays.
- Manage parts returns and process credits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and reconcile vendor credits to ensure proper billing adjustments.
- Maintain a clean and organized parts department, complying with all safety procedures.
- Perform periodic inventory checks and assist with restocking when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of experience in a collision center or automotive parts environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of collision parts terminology and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with estimating systems like CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex is a plus.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and inventory systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for local pickups/deliveries as needed).
- Team player with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $26 – $29 per hour, depending on experience
