Construction Accounting Systems Specialist

We are searching for an outstanding Construction Accounting Systems Specialist to join our team. If you have an expert level Quickbooks knowledge in construction, then please read on!

What You'll Be Doing

• Own full-cycle accounting for multiple entities in QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Build and maintain monthly WIP schedules, applying the appropriate revenue recognition method by project type.
• Configure QuickBooks Enterprise job cost structure—items, sub-jobs, classes, and estimates—to support accurate WIP reporting.
• Process intercompany transactions, shared services allocations, and month-end journal entries.
• Coordinate with project managers to capture cost estimates and track actuals vs. budget.
• Support the company’s future migration to a new ERP system as the entities grow.
  
  

What You Need For This Position

• Advanced QuickBooks Enterprise skills—specifically job costing, estimates, and item setup.
• 3 years of construction accounting experience (GC, subcontractor, or construction services)
• Solid understanding of WIP, percentage of completion, and ASC 606.
• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to build WIP schedules outside of the accounting system.
• Self-starter who can work independently and communicate proactively.
