What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Intake Specialist position at Deandra Grant Law?
Company Description
Deandra Grant Law is a mid-sized law firm headquartered in Dallas, TX, with 5 other offices and attorneys throughout Texas. The firm handles many areas of criminal law including misdemeanors and serious felony matters in State and Federal court. Our firm was built on the understanding that comprehensive representation does not begin and end in the courtroom. We know that just having sound legal counsel does not translate to a comprehensive and satisfactory experience for a client. We want our clients to be satisfied with their choice of firm, not just in their choice of attorney. Our client service and support staff are dedicated to making the experience of retaining an attorney as smooth as possible and ensuring that no client ever has a question or concern that goes unanswered. It doesn’t matter how good an attorney is if they don’t pay close attention to the wants and needs of the client. We want to make sure that each of our clients is as happy with the experience they have with our firm as they are with the ultimate result in his or her case.
Job Summary
The firm’s criminal defense department is seeking a full-time in-office Criminal Defense Law intake specialist to join its team at their Allen office. This position involves answering the phone, screening Potential New Clients (PNC’s), scheduling appointments, interacting with attorneys in the firm, helping assemble trial notebooks, assembling occupational driver’s license packets to mail to DPS, etc.
We are committed to hiring teammates that are passionate about helping people, have a ‘no job too-big or too-small’ mentality and understand that a person’s experience with the firm does not begin and end in the courtroom. Deandra Grant Law invests in the success and growth of the firm by hiring staff that understand the real-world impact that people face when they are going through a legal matter. This is a perfect opportunity to join a firm with an established team of passionate individuals that are committed to upholding high standards of representation and customer service.
Our firm is also committed to a systemized practice, and we have systems in place to accomplish the work we need to do in an efficient and accurate manner. This will make your job easier, but you must approach it with an understanding that there is one way to do things in our office, which is the best way.
Firm Culture
The firm culture has been built and is maintained by everyone committing to living our core values. These are:
Reach for Excellence Everyday: If the result will only be “okay,” we look for a better option, and pivot quickly, as to not waste precious time. We give our best effort every time because every client and coworker deserve our best effort. And no firm can do it better than we can.
United We Succeed: We are not just shaping a law firm; we are building a law firm that has the power to help shape how people are viewed and treated in the world. All team member opinions are needed, welcome and treated as equal.
Always Speak Your Truth: To be successful, we must be independent thinkers — so independent that when passionate about something, we’re willing to bet against the consensus. To accomplish that, we put our honest thoughts on the table, be radically open-minded, allowing the best ideas to rise to the top.
Negativity is Unacceptable: Positive words and actions manifest the same. We speak well of our team members, our clients, our opponents, as well as our competition, and always treat all with the respect that is due.
