What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stake Setter position at Dean Word Co.?
Dean Word Company is looking for an experienced Construction Stake Setter to support our growing Heavy Highway Construction team on TxDOT projects in La Grange and Bastrop.

Responsibilities:
* Set construction stakes for grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and structures.
* Read and interpret construction plans, profiles, and cross sections.
* Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and survey crews to ensure accurate project layout.
* Maintain line and grade throughout construction.
* Perform grade checks and verify layout accuracy.
* Operate GPS survey equipment, total stations, and data collectors (Trimble experience preferred).
* Follow all company safety policies and TxDOT requirements.
Qualifications:
* Experience as a Construction Stake Setter or Survey Technician preferred.
* Knowledge of TxDOT roadway construction practices.
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
* Experience with Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment is a plus.
* Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
