SUMMARY OF POSITION

IT Programmer This role is responsible for application configuration, integration, data integrity, and operational support, with a strong emphasis on API integrations, SQL-based data management, and middleware platforms.

Please note: This is an on‑site role. Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Lansing, MI area and commute to the office daily.

Specific Requirements

• Gathering required information from various resources (internal & external)
• Gathering requirements from stakeholders (internal & external) – User stories
• Administer, configure, and support enterprise and line-of-business applications.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for application-related issues.
• Manage application updates, patches, configuration changes, and version upgrades.
• Support and monitor API-based integrations between internal and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot authentication, data mapping, and integration errors.
• Maintain technical documentation for integrations and data flows.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Validate data integrity across integrated systems.
• Assist with data imports, exports, and system migrations.
• Support middleware and integration platforms.
• Build automated workflows for data synchronization.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies through automation.
• Enforce role-based access and least-privilege principles.
• Support compliance with data protection and security standards.
• Participate in audits and disaster recovery planning.
  
  
  

SPECIFIC ABILITIES

• 3 years of application administration or systems support experience.
• Strong SQL experience (Microsoft SQL Server preferred).
• Hands-on experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with middleware or ETL platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or education environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, or related tools.
• Experience with SaaS and on-premise applications.
• Strong documentation and system design experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Facilitate project meetings and handle project conflicts within and outside of the team.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
