Overview
Oversees the procurement, tracking, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies to support operations at a secure government site. Ensures proper inventory levels based on project needs, follows and improves logistics procedures, and supervises warehouse staff in daily operations.
Responsibilities
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain proper inventory levels to support operations and maintenance activities
- Manage tool control, including issuing, tracking, and staging equipment for technicians
- Conduct inventory counts, audits, and reconcile data in inventory systems
- Coordinate material requirements, including min/max stock levels and reordering
- Handle procurement, shipping, labeling, and inventory tracking using logistics software
- Perform local purchases and reconcile transactions in financial systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Government Furnished Property (GFP/GFE) and security procedures
- Optimize warehouse space and storage efficiency
- Coordinate tool calibration and equipment processing
- Support maintenance teams with logistics needs
- Supervise warehouse staff and daily logistics operations
- Safely handle and move materials using manual and motorized equipment
- Maintain accurate records in systems such as MAXIMO
- Follow safety procedures, conduct safety reporting, and promote a safe work environment
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or GED with 10 years of logistics/supply experience, or bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of procurement processes and supply operations for large maintenance programs
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Willingness to carry a radio or phone for emergency response
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call as needed
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Team-oriented with a commitment to quality work
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CMMS systems (preferably Maximo)
- Background in government or military property and supply management
