Dean|Fluor is looking for an Environmental Safety and Health Officer/Quality 2 - Full Time

Responsibilities

The Environmental Safety and Health Officer Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Oversee and act as line management's technical resource for determining Operations and Maintenance risk analysis for Operational Risk Management Program.

· Review contract safety specifications and incorporate requirements into the Accident Prevention Plan. (APP)

· Assisting in the development of project safety plans, budgets, safety supplies, training materials and other associated costs.

· Reviewing applicable regulatory requirements/and addressing deficiencies noted in the current program.

· Developing site ESH training program and demonstrating knowledge base of materials.

· Conduct inspections and audits and participating in field inspections and meetings to facilitate communication of inspection results and corrective actions.

· Participating in safety briefings with personnel on project to confirm understanding of Safety and Health {S&H) requirements (This can include morning, evening, and weekend work shifts).

· Leading incident investigations when required.

· Stopping work in Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) situations and reviewing Recovery Plans that are to be implemented before work can be resumed.

Quality Control Representative job scope will be to:

· Partner with the project team in understanding the complete scope of work for the project.

· Ensure through surveillance audits standard operation procedures (SOP) for all the assets/work activities are documented and up to date.

· Originate or modify checklists to function as reference summaries of the SOP.

· Participate in 3-Phase Quality Control Process conducting preparatory, initial and follow-up phase inspections.

· Collect data from internal inspections on conformity to requirements and compliance to procedures and prepare weekly inspection data log (Field Data Collection Report).

· Initiate/Assign/Manage Discrepancy Notices, Corrective Action Reports, Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).

· Identify and provide solutions to project specific issues based on knowledge, experience and outside resources.

· Identify nonconformities/noncompliance associated with the relevant scope of work and provide feedback necessary to prevent re-occurrences.

· Participate in the daily Operational Risk Management (ORM) meetings ensuring Quality items/issues for the scope of the work are discussed.

· Assess project performance under the quality management system and provide management, guidance, assistance and support to the project team as required.

· Perform receipt inspections of procured materials.

· Participate and provide logistical support in the execution of internal audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Safety, or similar degree, is required with 2 years of experience or a Master of Science degree with 0 years of experience. Desired master electrician's license coupled with experience and safety certifications (STS, CHST etc.).

· Must have significant experience in General industry.

· Proficient use of Microsoft products.

· Excellent writing/editing skills and attention to detail

· Attention to detail in completing work tasks.

· Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing so that others will understand.

· Requires ability to walk/stand for extended periods and traverse by foot over smooth and rough terrain for review of work sites throughout the location, including outside and inside locations (dust, heat, cold, noise and other exposures are possible).

· Proficient use of Microsoft products

Desired Skills:

· Environmental Experience is highly desired.

· Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)

· Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

· NFPA 70E certified
