Category Manager (Beer and Beverage)

Dean Distributing, Inc. (DDI) is currently looking for a full-time, experienced Category Manager to work primarily out of its Arbor Vitae location. This full-time position works Monday through Friday servicing accounts throughout 7 counties in Northeastern Wisconsin. The ideal candidate must have a good driving record, experience in sales, and experience in the beverage wholesale industry.

Tasks and Duties will include:

• Perform all reset activities including retailer sell-in, computer-generated schematics, and actual resets.
• Responsible for the execution and results of all reset activity.
• Must be proficient in space planning plus software to generate shelf sets.
• Set standards for category management.
• Determine market share estimates using scan data.
• Develop strategies with team leaders and sales team with new product introductions.
• Be able to determine appropriate product mix for individual accounts.
• The Category Manager must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with supervisors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company.
• The Category Manager must provide customer service & relationship-building with internal and external customers.
• The Category Manager must understand and demonstrate all of DDI’s policies and procedures.
• Must exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

To successfully secure this opportunity applicants must:

• Extensive background in beverage wholesale industry preferred.
• 3 years of beverage experience is preferred.
• Experience selling product into chain and key accounts preferred.
• Experience with chain and key account management preferred.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Active listening and communication skills required

Salary:

• The pay listed for this position consists of salary and monthly pay for performance incentives (commissions). The salary listed is what you would be paid if you achieved a 100% payout for your performance incentives each month.
• The base salary for this position is $50,350.00 with $9,650.00 in yearly performance incentives (commissions) that are paid out on a monthly basis.

This position comes with a company provided vehicle.
