Commercial Driver's License Driver

We currently have an opening for a CDL truck driver. This driver will be responsible for driving either a 28' straight truck, a 53' tractor trailer or a 48' flatbed. Materials carried are non-hazardous building materials, consisting primarily of roofing, decking, siding, doors and windows. The routes vary daily and begin from our warehouse in Powell, Tennessee, and conclude each day, with no overnight delivery travel at this time. This is for a Monday through Friday driver role, no weekends.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Must be a good communicator, both with the company and the customer, and maintain a professional, helpful spirit with the customer.
• Should be self-motivated and able to work independently or as a part of a team. Must be dependable, reliable and quality minded.
• Must be willing to learn the product, and to assist both the loading dock and the customer with loading/unloading.
• Compensation may be adjustable depending on additional license skills and endorsements, such as pulling doubles.
• Minimum High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 2-5 years experience in CDL driving with excellent driving record.
• Forklift experience preferred, but not required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and be subject to DOT drug testing requirements.

Compensation will be based on experience and work history. The company will provide all vehicles and related insurance. This position is considered a full-time position accompanied by the standard Dealers Warehouse benefits package which includes availability of medical, dental and vision insurance, PTO, retirement savings plan and company profit share.
