The Manager of SEO will be responsible for overseeing all account work, personnel, and client communication related to the SEO team. The Manager of SEO is responsible for answering difficult questions, putting out major client fires, guiding ongoing tactic and strategy adjustments, developing and performing ongoing training for the SEO team, handling all day-to-day personnel issues, performing sales demos upon request, and performing technical SEO audits on non-SEO clients. This role is an exciting opportunity to develop a cutting-edge SEO service in new, highly competitive verticals.
Essential Functions:
- Ongoing tactic and strategy adjustments for client book of business, overseeing SEO Consultants
- Quality control for all initial and recurring tasks completed by SEO Consultants and Specialists e.g. optimizations, linkbuilding, review responses, blog posts, social media posts, reports, and client deliverables
- Hire, terminate, and oversee employees within the department
- Lead monthly audits on all work being performed on the SEO team
- Run demos with the sales team
- Perform SEO audits on non-SEO client sites
- Manage communications between departments
- Execute and support projects that contribute to department OKRs, roadmaps, and churn initiatives.
- Work closely with the Training team to develop education and skill development for the SEO department
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry-specific experience
- Minimum of 4 years SEO experience
- 5 years’ management experience
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with communication (written and verbal)
- Experience with SEO/Site auditing tools (Screaming Frog)
- Excellent content writing and content editing ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Tool Suite (Excel and Word)
- Proficient in Google Analytics and data analysis
- Advanced experience in Local SEO
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Advanced HTML and CSS knowledge
- Experience working in multiple verticals within SEO (such as Legal, Home Services, and Health & Wellness)
- PR and outreach experience
- Experience managing processes for a large team of SEO Consultant

The targeted salary range for this position is $69,800 - $102,600.
The posted salary range for this position may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; internal pay equity; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
