Sales Executive

Position Summary

Dealer Merchandising is seeking experienced, entrepreneurial Sales Representatives to drive new business with automotive dealerships and large dealer groups throughout an assigned territory.

This is not an entry-level sales position. We're looking for professionals who already know how dealerships operate, understand the automotive retail environment, and have spent years calling on Dealer Principals, General Managers, Fixed Operations Directors, Marketing Directors, or other dealership executives.

You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships, presenting our retail merchandising solution, negotiating agreements, and managing the sales process from prospecting through signed contracts.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a territory sales strategy focused on franchised automotive dealerships and dealer groups.
• Prospect new dealerships through cold outreach, referrals, networking, and in-person visits.
• Build relationships with Dealer Principals, Owners, General Managers, Marketing Directors, Fixed Operations leaders, and executive teams.
• Conduct discovery meetings and evaluate dealership retail opportunities.
• Deliver compelling presentations demonstrating how Dealer Merchandising increases dealership profitability and customer engagement.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
• Maintain an active pipeline and accurate CRM.
• Attend industry events, OEM meetings, dealer associations, and conferences.
• Collaborate with operations and merchandising teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and delivery.
• Consistently exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of outside field sales experience within the automotive industry.
• Demonstrated experience calling directly on franchised automotive dealerships.
• Existing relationships with dealership decision-makers.
• Experience selling products or services to dealership executives.
• Strong consultative selling and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently from a home office.
• Excellent organizational and pipeline management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned territory.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• $60K Base salary
• Uncapped commission plan
