What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collision Technician position at Dealer Collision Group?
Dealer Collision Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collision / Body Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for performing all aspects of vehicle repair, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with OEM standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, quality, and delivering vehicles back to pre-accident condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all phases of collision repair including disassembly, structural repair, body repair, and reassembly
- Analyze damage and follow repair plans and blueprints to ensure accurate repairs
- Perform metal finishing, panel replacement, and alignment of vehicle components
- Utilize frame machines and measuring systems to restore vehicles to OEM specifications
- Ensure proper fit, finish, and function of all repaired components
- Work closely with estimators and production team to maintain workflow and cycle time goals
- Follow all OEM repair procedures and safety standards
- Document repairs and update job status in systems such as CCC
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with quality control checks prior to vehicle delivery
Qualifications
- 3 years of collision repair experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of structural and non-structural repair techniques
- Experience with frame equipment and measuring systems
- Ability to read and follow repair plans and OEM procedures
- Familiarity with CCC or similar collision management systems
- I-CAR certifications or OEM certifications preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
