Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing all surfaces to ensure a spotless environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure effective sanitation without compromising safety.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, industrial cleaning tools efficiently for optimal floor care and sanitation.
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to proper safety procedures to prevent injury.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including inventory control of cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding courteously to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room amenities.

Requirements

• Proven custodial or housekeeping experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the safe handling of chemical agents used in cleaning processes.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely while following hotel emergency procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and industrial cleaning methods for effective floor care and sanitation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness consistently.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
