Duties
- Operate loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks safely and efficiently to move scrap materials and waste products.
- Sort, clean, and organize scrap materials according to type and quality standards.
- Manage hazardous materials in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with landfill management tasks including waste disposal, environmental monitoring, and site cleanup.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support sanitation efforts by cleaning work areas and ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or similar machinery is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or waste management operations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and environmental compliance is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety practices including PPE use and hazard awareness.
