Job Overview

As a Leave of Absence and Accommodation Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in administering all leave of absence requests and accommodations in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Your responsibilities will include managing FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs, ensuring privacy compliance, and working with employees and various departments to ensure smooth coordination of leaves and accommodations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.
  • Provide accurate Human Resources, process, and policy-related information to requestors and act as a resource for inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll department and other teams to manage leave and accommodation requests efficiently.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance by maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation regarding leave and accommodations.
  • Coordinate FMLA and ADA accommodations, working closely with employees, managers, and vendors.
  • Review requests and make decisions about next steps, ensuring timely communication with all involved parties.
  • Administer the process for Fit for Duty exams.
  • Assist with the ongoing development and education of co-workers regarding leave and accommodation procedures.
  • What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of related experience and / or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in leave or disability management or employee relations is desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Progress towards or completion of the Certified Leave Management Specialist designation with the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) preferred.
