Job Summary
The Practice Manager oversees overall business operations for his/her assigned practices within or managed by Deaconess Specialty Physicians. The highest goal for this position is to achieve organizational objectives for operational efficiency while maintaining high levels of clinical quality. These objectives will be managed principally through established business/practice units and will be achieved by working closely with Director. The assigned business units for this position may change over time. The Practice Manager position reports directly to a Clinic Director (CD). This position will be assigned to oversee the work of and supervise
management and/or support staff for the assigned business units.
Education and Experience
- Ideally the candidate will have proven practice management success in a similar group practice setting.
- It is important for the candidate to have demonstrated success in developing and leading operational
teams. - Educational requirements include at a minimum a college degree, preferably a health-related degree. An Associate Degree or higher in a health related field, business administration and/or a related field is required, management experience running a physician practice and/or four to six years of medical office management experience preferred.
- Significant preference will be given to those with formal post graduate work and/or degree in Business or
Health Administration as well as demonstrable accomplishments in the areas outlined above in job
responsibilities. - Clinical Office experience preferred
