Job Overview:
The head teacher is a member of the teaching team who shares responsibility with the assistant teacher for the care and education of an assigned group of children. The head teacher is responsible for implementing The Creative Curriculum along with its system of assessment and documentation; supervising children; communicating with parents; providing a healthy and safe environment for children that encourages social emotional, physical, cognitive and language development based on the Reggio Approach. The head teacher is responsible for completing all necessary documentation for NAEYC Accreditation.

- To ensure a well-run, purposeful program responsive to participant needs

Required Certification/License/Experience:
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and the willingness to start working on a Bachelor’s Degree within six months of employment
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with at least three years of teaching experience.
- Must acquire 20 hours of professional development annually.
Preferred Certification/License/Experience:
- Current CPR/First Aid certification and NAEYC Membership preferred.
