Why Join Deacon Construction?

About the Role
As Project Manager, you will own the project from award through close‑out, keeping budgets on track, schedules moving, and clients informed every step of the way. You’ll partner with Superintendents to deliver jobs safely, on time, and profitably while living Deacon’s core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Commitment to Excellence.

  • Contract administration: Negotiate subcontracts, ensure strict compliance with scopes, specs, and owner contracts.
  • Client & partner relations: Cultivate long‑term relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners; provide transparent, timely reporting.
  • Team leadership: Manage, train, and supervise project engineers and coordinators; foster a collaborative, accountable atmosphere.
  • Risk & quality: Drive RFIs, submittals, change orders, and quality‑control processes; coordinate inspections and testing.
  • Close‑out: Compile as‑builts, warranties, O&M manuals, and final accounting to ensure a smooth hand‑off.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of project management experience with a proven record of successful commercial projects.
  • Solid understanding of estimating, scheduling, contract law, and construction means & methods.
