Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chess and Math Teacher to inspire students through engaging instruction in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical concepts. This will begin as a part of our Summer Camp Curriculum and transition to afternoon and evening classes beginng in September.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans for chess and mathematics tailored to diverse student needs and skill levels.
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate modern learning technology to enhance understanding and participation.
- Facilitate interactive classroom activities that promote critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and observations; provide constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special educational needs or early childhood education requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to support student development and address individual learning goals.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development for chess, math, or related fields.
- Proficiency with learning technology tools used in modern classrooms.
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching children, adolescents, or adults in academic or enrichment settings.
