Junior Project Manager
deSIGNco | Reports to: Senior Project Manager
About the RoledeSIGNco manages sign projects from initial design through fabrication and installation. We're looking for a Junior Project Manager to support our Project Management team in coordinating projects through design approval, permitting, and manufacturing/production, ensuring signs are fabricated correctly, on schedule, and ready for installation.
Key Responsibilities- Track project status in CRM from design approval through fabrication and install
- Coordinate with the Design/Artist team to finalize approved mock-ups and specs before release to production
- Communicate with customers to secure design approvals, keeping salespeople in the loop
- Assist in obtaining landlord and/or HOA approvals where required
- Support code checks to confirm sign type, size, and quantity comply with local requirements
- Prepare and track permit applications and submissions
- Work with the production/fabrication team to schedule build timelines, confirm materials, and monitor manufacturing progress
- Flag production issues, material delays, or spec discrepancies early and route them to the right people
- Confirm completed signs meet approved specs and quality standards before install
- Maintain organized project documentation and timely status updates across design, production, and install teams
- Escalate issues or delays to the Senior Project Manager
- Assist Senior PM and other Project Managers with active project load as needed
- 0–2 years of experience in project management, manufacturing, construction, or signage (internships/coursework a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with specs and production timelines
- Comfortable tracking multiple projects moving through fabrication simultaneously
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for customer- and production-facing work
- Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, Odoo (CRM) (or similar project management software)
- Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Design, and Production/Fabrication teams
- Familiarity with sign fabrication processes, materials, or shop floor workflows
- Familiarity with sign permitting processes or local sign code requirements
- Experience in Construction Management, Manufacturing, or related field
This role reports to the Senior Project Manager and works closely with the Design and Production/Fabrication teams.
