Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS systems
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a sanitized environment
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with Toast POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings such as fine dining establishments or nightclubs
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding menu items and food preparation processes
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables or sections smoothly while maintaining quality service
