Position: DPCO E-Commerce Assistant

In alignment with the mission and vision of the De Pere Christian Outreach, the E-Commerce Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations of online auction sales on various auction platforms, primarily eBay, by sourcing appropriate product, assisting in the product listing process, shipping and packaging sold items for safe shipment, and fielding customer inquiries about listed items.

Job Type: Part-Time (approximately 10 hours a week); hybrid role, with some functions being able to be performed remotely at the discretion of the DPCO Executive Director; no additional benefits offered

Reports to: DPCO’s Executive Director

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

· Source items for potential online sales

· Research values of items to be competitively priced within the appropriate market.

· Take high quality display photos of items to showcase features and maximize selling price.

· Add items to auction site in creative ways to maximize selling potential.

· Package all items for safe delivery.

· Responds to customers and provides service for active listings with after-sales support when required in a timely manner.

· Ensure compliance with state laws and agency and site-specific policies.

· Treat customers, coworkers and volunteers with dignity and respect in accordance with DPCO mission and values.

· Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and volunteers.

· Maintain the organization of supplies, incoming product, listed product, and outgoing product

· Other related duties as assigned to support the business and mission of DPCO.

Education/Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Demonstrated experience with online selling on eBay or other auction or online sales platforms

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Knowledge of selling on online auction (eBay) and with selling on other online marketplaces

• Knowledge of online marketplace operations and product value
• Skill in use of computers, websites, digital cameras, and smartphones

· Skill in communicating effectively in English, in both written and verbal forms

· Skill in managing own time to meet deadlines

· Ability to communicate and interact effectively with team members, customers and managers

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide for retail sales transactions

· Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and provide expected levels of customer service

· Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions

· Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision

· Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure

· Ability to work a flexible schedule with changing priorities

· Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion

· Physical condition adequate to permit full performance of duties
