de maximis, inc. (de maximis) is a nationwide firm specializing in Project Coordination and Management Services for environmental projects throughout the United States since 1988. We currently have an exciting opportunity to further grow our Orange County, California office. Our staff of professional Project Managers have a unique blend of experience in industry, regulatory agencies, remedial contracting, and engineering/environmental consulting. We currently provide coordination and management services at over 100 federal and state Superfund sites nationwide.
de maximis is seeking a full-time Environmental Project Manager in Orange County, California. The main responsibilities as a Environmental Project Manager includes providing project management and project coordination on high profile environmental remediation projects. In addition, the position requires management of subconsultants and meeting client expectations. The candidate should have 2 to 5 years or more relevant experience in the environmental consulting industry and familiarity with California regulatory guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in environmental and engineering consulting, remedial actions, or similar field
• B.S. Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
• Demonstrated site investigations/remediation knowledge, work plan, and technical report preparation
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• M.S. Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (i.e., EIT, GIT, PE, PG) or the ability to obtain certifications within two years of employment
Requirements and Responsibilities:
• Detail oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Oversee quality control of work and subconsultant’s work
• Cultivating strong relationships with team members and subconsultants to ensure project success
• Reviewing technical workplans and providing input on remediation design elements
• Delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
• Valid driver’s license in the State of California
• Limited travel required, primarily to Los Angeles and San Diego
