Recreational Therapist - IN FACILITY
Recreation Therapists are responsible for ensuring. exceptional services are being provided to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by Certified Recreational Therapist representing DDSi. writing treatment plans of all ages who are receiving
revreational therapy funded through the Family Support Waiver (FSW) or the Community Integration Habilitation Waiver (CIH). Job duties will include reviewing on-going individual recreation therapy sessions, conducting individual assessment, reviewing created treatment plans, engaging in training sessions with DDSi staff members and professional employees, monitoring treatment plans to ensure participants are reaching person centered goals, and being an active participant in the individuals support team. . Services are provided in our facility, community, and home settings; Travel is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTs;
- Bachelor’s degree is Recreation Therapy
- Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certifcation
- Experience working with adults and/or children with disabilities is required (2 Years).
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable Transportation
- Excellent interpersonal and written abilities
- Ability to work independently and have strong organizational skills
- Able to develop strong relationships with participants and their family members/caregivers
- Being a Team Player
This position is based in Hancock County, Indianas and surrounding counties DDSi plans to grown across the central part of the state.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 per hour
