Schedule: Currently Friday afternoons from 4p-8p with the option to work additional hours.
Compensation

Job Responsibilities
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports children under age 18 with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who are enrolled in Colorado's Children's Extensive Support (CES) Waiver. This position provides individualized services in home, community, and other approved settings to support skill development, independence, and meaningful participation in daily routines and activities. The DSP works in partnership with children and their families to implement services aligned with each child's Individualized Service Plan (ISP), promoting inclusion, choice, dignity, and person-centered outcomes.
What You Bring to the Role
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if transportation is required by assignment.
- Ability to complete required training and certifications, including CPR and First Aid and Safety Care.
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including use of email and electronic documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of paid or volunteer experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
- Familiarity with developmental disabilities systems, rules, and regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a variety of settings, including DDRC facilities, family homes, and community‑based environments, and may involve frequent interaction with children served, families, coworkers, and other professionals in home‑like settings, including exposure to typical household elements such as noise, cleaning supplies, and varied sensory environments.
- The role may involve active engagement with children throughout the workday, including standing, walking, sitting on the floor, running short distances, and transitioning between floor‑level and standing positions.
- Physical support activities may include assisting with daily living tasks, use of adaptive equipment, guiding movement, or redirecting, consistent with individual needs, required training, and approved plans.
- Schedules may include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on the needs of children and families receiving services.
