Daycare teacher assistants support lead teachers by supervising children, implementing educational activities, and ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Key responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene (diapering/toileting), serving meals, managing classroom behavior, preparing learning materials, and communicating with parents regarding child progress. Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision and Safety:Monitor children during playtime, naps, meals, and field trips to ensure a safe environment, including performing health checks and following safety/sanitation guidelines.
- Instructional Support:Help lead teachers execute daily, age-appropriate lesson plans, crafts, and educational games.
- Personal Care:Assist with toileting, diaper changes, handwashing, feeding, dressing, and cleaning up after activities.
- Classroom Maintenance:Organize materials, sanitize toys and surfaces, and maintain a tidy, welcoming classroom.
- Behavioral Guidance:Aid in teaching social skills, managing classroom behavior, and helping children resolve conflicts.
- Communication & Reporting:Document attendance, record student progress, and communicate daily updates to parents.
