Position Summary
The Hiring Specialist partners closely with the Vice President of Human Resources to attract, evaluate, and hire exceptional talent across the organization. This role manages full-cycle recruitment for both W-2 employees and independent contractors, ensuring every candidate is thoroughly assessed and aligned with the company's culture, values, and business needs. The Hiring Specialist plays a key role in building a high-performing workforce while delivering a professional and positive candidate experience.

In This Role, You Will
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, applicant screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Coordinate and conduct candidate prescreens and facilitate contractor interviews to identify qualified candidates who align with organizational needs.
- Maintain accurate recruitment documentation, applicant records, and hiring data within the HRIS and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Partner with Operational leaders to understand staffing needs and provide recommendations throughout the hiring process.
- Assist in developing and implementing recruiting strategies, hiring procedures, and employment practices that align with applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance to applicants and employees regarding recruitment and onboarding processes while escalating complex HR matters as appropriate.
- Support initiatives that strengthen employer branding, talent pipelines, and workforce planning.
- Participate in Human Resources initiatives, including employee engagement, compensation support, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and hiring trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed of employment laws, recruiting best practices, and industry trends to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
- Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
- Builds strong relationships with candidates, Training Managers, operational leaders and internal stakeholders.
- Exercises sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
- Manages multiple requisitions and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

- Delivers on recruiting goals and Human Resources key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provides a positive, responsive, and professional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- $50,000 annual salary commensurate with experience
- Experience with BambooHR or a comparable Human Resources Information System (HRIS) preferred.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Google Workspace.
- Two or more years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
