Responsibilities
- Assist in creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar software.
- Support the development of design concepts through sketches, mood boards, and color palettes
- Prepare presentation materials that effectively communicate design ideas to clients and team members
- Collaborate on project management tasks including scheduling and tracking project milestones
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors regarding lighting, renovation details, and remodeling specifications
- Assist in drafting contracts and reviewing construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to lighting design and lighting sales efforts by understanding client needs and product options
Experience
- Previous experience or internship in interior design or related fields is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred
- Knowledge of CAD drafting techniques, color theory, and interior design principles is essential
- Familiarity with project management tools and processes related to renovation, construction, remodeling projects
- Strong understanding of construction documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with clients
