Our mission is simple: grow the highest-quality weed at prices everyone can afford.We're looking for passionate people to join us in our mission to democratize cannabis-or as we like to say, to "Weed the People."With a dialed-in grow operation and a bold new brand refresh, we're ready to dominate the MD/DC market-and have a little fun while we're at it.Maintenance SpecialistOur Maintenance Specialist is responsible for assisting the GM of Facilities in the operation of the facility as it relates to its maintenance, repairs, cleaning, modifications, construction projects and their completion in a timely, safe, and fiscally responsible manner.Your role in caring for our company:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Responsible for building and grounds maintenance. Ensure that the facility is clean, organized, and maintained according to company policy and procedures. Verify proper operation of facilities systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs by following instruction and utilizing operations manuals. Assist the Maintenance Manager with ensuring contract services work meets specified results to minimize future operational problems; includes inspecting completed work and reporting failure to meet contract specifications. Conduct and document regular facilities inspections on eMaint.Diagnose maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and facility design modifications. Communicate workplace safety precautions to employees. Perform other duties such as taking out municipal trash/recycling. Perform facility related tasks specific to irrigation, and cultivation equipment. Periodically verify fire extinguishers and other safety equipment that are within approved dates and replace units when needed. All other duties as necessary.Qualifications we ask you to have:For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age. You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check. We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED. We ask that you have a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a professional/management role.We ask that you are comfortable with heights.Experience with fire extinguisher training a plus. Additional skills which will help you excel in your role:Strong attention to detail! Desire and ability to work as a member of a team. Compliance with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure. Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers. Work closely with other grow team members and the Cultivation Director on a daily basis. Strong work ethics - be accountable and proactive. Ability to work at a fast pace in a high production environment! Strong experience with inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance, planning, execution, root cause failure analysis and improvements. Work Schedule/Location:On-site 5 days a week.
