Process Technician - 1st Shfit

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires hands-on technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support a safe, productive work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and maintain production processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with machinery, equipment, and production systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and adjustments to process equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement process improvements and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production data, including output, downtime, and maintenance logs.
• Enforce safety regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in the development and testing of new production processes or products.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and supplies to support uninterrupted production.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of injection molding production equipment, process optimization, and troubleshooting, including scientific molding, such as decoupled molding methodology, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality control standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Syteline preferred.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing setting.
• Must possess excellent phone and computer skills.
• Must be detail oriented.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is an hourly position which eligible for overtime. A minimum of forty (40) hours a week is required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position does not have any travel requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is moderately active with the majority of the work done in the production area. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required on a daily basis as well as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting.

SAFETY

Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE may be required in production areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in a typical manufacturing environment where the temperature is not maintained throughout the year. In addition, there may be exposure to equipment, noise and/or chemicals depending on the specific job to which assigned.

REASONING ABILITY

Sound judgment and decision making skills necessary. Must be able to appropriately prioritize multiple tasks and maintain timeliness for completion.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
