Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including home care and critical care environments. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' health and well-being, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Assist with patient assessments and health coaching to promote wellness.
- Provide catheter care and support for patients with specific medical needs.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Offer support in pediatrics, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young patients.
- Educate patients and families on health management, family planning, and preventive care.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in home care or critical care settings is preferred.
- Proficient in basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and assessment skills.
- Familiarity with pediatrics or experience working in an ICU setting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.
