Job Title: SAP Basis Consultant
Location: Lisle, IL,
Duration: 12 months

Experience
5-10 years in SAP Basis administration
Hands-on experience in S/4HANA implementation / conversion projects
Exposure to cloud-based SAP landscapes (RISE / hyperscalers)

Must-Have Skills
1. S/4HANA Implementation & Migration
o Experience in SAP S/4HANA installation, upgrade, or system conversion (SUM/DMO)
o Strong understanding of system landscape (DEV, QA, PROD)
2. SAP HANA Administration
o HANA DB monitoring, backup/restore, tenant DB management
o Familiarity with HANA Studio / Cockpit
3. RISE with SAP on Amazon Web Services
o Understanding of RISE architecture and SAP-managed cloud model
o Coordination with SAP & AWS for infra provisioning, access, and incidents
4. SAP BTP Configuration & Connectivity
o Experience in SAP Business Technology Platform setup and administration
o Configuring subaccounts, entitlements, destinations, and connectivity (Cloud Connector)
o Basic understanding of integration with S/4HANA
5. Transport & System Operations
o Strong hands-on in TMS, transport routes, release/import cycles
o System monitoring (ST22, SM21, SM37), performance tuning, issue resolution

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred)
Exposure to SAP Datasphere configuration and integration
Knowledge of Fiori / Gateway administration
Experience with Solution Manager / Focused Run
Role Expectations (Outcome-Focused)
Support end-to-end S/4HANA implementation / migration lifecycle
Configure and manage BTP landscape and connectivity with S/4 systems
Coordinate with SAP RISE team, AWS, and integration teams (Data sphere/Azure if applicable)
Ensure system stability, transport governance, and performance optimization
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and integration challenges
Soft Skills
Strong collaboration across Basis, functional, cloud, and data teams
Ability to work in complex multi-vendor setup (SAP, PwC, IBM, etc.)
Clear and structured communication with stakeholders
