Cost Accountant

DCI is a leading manufacturer of dental parts and equipment, committed to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant join our finance team. This role is critical in supporting cost accounting functions, financial planning, and performance analysis to drive strategic decision-making.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (include, but not limited to):

• Accounting
• Maintain and analyze standard costs for products and components.
• Monitor and report on manufacturing variances and inventory valuation.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to cost accounting.
• Financial Analysis
• Perform detailed financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
• Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide insights.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals.
• Data & Reporting Tools
• Utilize Microsoft Query, Excel, and Power BI to extract, analyze, and visualize financial data.
• Develop dashboards and automated reports to support real-time decision-making.

Educational and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required, experience with Power BI and/or Microsoft Query preferred.
• Experience with ERP Systems required
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer workstation.

Work Schedule:

• Ability to work flexible hours, with additional time as needed.
• Less than 1% unplanned absenteeism is expected.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
