The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily maintenance activities to ensure all plant equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently. This role involves executing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment failures, and collaborating with the maintenance team to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance Execution: Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks. This includes troubleshooting equipment failures, executing repairs, and ensuring all work is documented accurately in the CMMS.
Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Perform maintenance work in compliance with OSHA and company standards and participate in safety inspections and meetings.
Inventory & Parts Management: Assist in monitoring spare parts inventory by identifying needed parts and ensuring they are available for repairs.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and streamline maintenance processes.
Reporting: Document maintenance activities, equipment status, and parts usage in the CMMS to provide clear records of all work performed.

Technical Proficiency: A strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment:
This role operates primarily in a manufacturing plant environment and on the production floor. The position may involve exposure to noise, varying temperatures, hazardous chemicals, and machinery.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. The employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders and occasionally lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The typical hours of work are Monday through Friday, but flexibility is required to cover various shifts, including nights or weekends, and to respond to emergencies.

Required Education and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required). Technical or trade school certification in a relevant field (Preferred).
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
Technical: Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
