DCI Engineers

At DCI Engineers, great work begins with great people. As a People & Culture Advisor (HRBP), you will be a trusted partner to organizational leaders and employees across our regional offices. You will turn thoughtful people practices into meaningful everyday experiences, helping our teams feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and connected as we grow.

This is an opportunity to blend hands-on HR expertise with curiosity, sound judgment, and a drive to continually make things better. Your work will influence every stage of the employee journey, from a candidate’s first interaction with DCI to career growth, recognition, and beyond.

The Impact You’ll Make

You’ll work closely with leaders across the organization and the People & Culture team to support day-to-day operations and the full employee lifecycle, enhance employee programs, and improve processes that impact how we attract, engage, grow, and reward our employees:

  • Bring great people to DCI by managing job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and helping every candidate experience the professionalism and care that define our culture.
  • Build meaningful talent connections through career fairs, university partnerships, and outreach activities that introduce future employees to the possibilities at DCI.
  • Create a welcoming start by preparing offers, coordinating onboarding, and ensuring new hires have the information and support they need to contribute with confidence.
  • Strengthen connections and belonging through wellness, recognition, and engagement programs that help employees feel valued and invested in our shared success.
  • Turn people data into action by identifying trends, illuminating opportunities, inspiring high performance, and helping develop thoughtful corrective action plans.
  • Passion for creating programs that inspire high-performance behaviors, including intentional and timely performance feedback, career pathing and promotion frameworks, and learning and development curriculum.
  • Listen and learn by leading exit interview coordination and supporting offboarding in ways that capture insights and improve the employee experience.
  • Make good processes even better by identifying and implementing improvements that increase consistency, efficiency, and scalability across offices.
  • Be a trusted advisor by guiding leaders through performance management and employee relations matters with discretion, empathy, and a practical, people-centered approach.
  • Help employees use their benefits with confidence by supporting benefits administration, new hire orientations, and annual open enrollment.
  • Keep important programs moving by tracking and managing initiatives such as referral bonuses, volunteer time off, and donation matching.

What You Bring

You pair strong execution with sound judgment and a genuine commitment to helping our people do their best work. You bring:

  • 3 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience working in a high growth professional services organization; private equity and M&A experience a plus.
  • The ability to build relationships and effectively partner with team members and leaders across a global, distributed workforce.
  • Sound judgment and ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Interest in improving processes and contributing ideas.
  • The ability to analyze people data, identify meaningful trends, and translate insights into practical recommendations that support informed People & Culture decisions.
  • Curiosity for and confidence in using AI to create efficiencies.
  • The ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to prepare board ready presentations.
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook, MS Suite (including PowerPoint), and Adobe.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS software, and hiring platforms, such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Composure and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to balance competing priorities through change, delays, and unexpected events.

Why DCI Engineers

At DCI Engineers, how we work together is just as important as the work we produce. Since our founding nearly 40 years ago, we’ve believed that strong relationships, shared knowledge, and a commitment to excellence are what set us apart.

Our culture is grounded in a set of core values that shape how we show up every day:

  • Entrepreneurial – We take initiative, think beyond the status quo, and embrace a “we can figure it out” mindset.
  • Collaborative – We create a connected experience across teams and offices, where people feel supported and can learn from one another.
  • Resilient – We adapt, learn, and grow stronger through challenges, continuously investing in our people and capabilities.
  • Creative – We encourage new ways of thinking—not just in our engineering work, but in how we support our employees and build our programs.
  • Community-Oriented – We foster a sense of belonging by building strong internal relationships and supporting the communities where we live and work.
  • Trust-Driven – We earn trust through accountability, strong performance, and doing what we say we will do.

Within People & Culture, you will help make these values tangible across the employee journey, while partnering closely with leaders to meet the distinct needs of their teams. If you are energized by shaping employee experiences, improving how work gets done, and helping a people-centered culture grow with intention, you can make a meaningful impact at DCI.
