Duties
- Carefully pack products according to manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production documents
- Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently, including automated and manual systems
- Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting and proper use of material handling equipment such as forklifts
- Conduct quality inspections to verify product integrity and packaging accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area to ensure safety standards in production are upheld
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with packaging machinery using basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Follow safety protocols rigorously, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and FDA regulations when applicable
- Assist with inventory management by accurately labeling, documenting, and recording packing activities
- Support manufacturing operations by interpreting production documents and adhering to manufacturing standard operating procedures
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment is preferred
- Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and industrial equipment troubleshooting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with GMP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA regulations, and safety standards in production environments
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment
- Strong understanding of materials handling techniques, including forklift operation (certification preferred)
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions
- Basic math skills for measurements, inventory counts, and documentation accuracy
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
